"You cannot leave Africa, Africa said. It is always with you, there inside your head. Our rivers run in currents in the swirl of your thumbprints; our drumbeats counting out your pulse; our coastline the silhouette of your soul.” – BRIDGET DORE "You cannot leave Africa, Africa said. It is always with you, there inside your head. Our rivers run in currents in the swirl of your thumb prints; our drum beats counting out your pulse; our coastline the silhouette of your soul.” - BRIDGET DORE For Dulini is truly a family affair, born of long-established friendships and a deep connection to the African wilderness. We look forward to when you will bring your family, to meet ours. Furthermore, Dulini employs more than 130 staff members, most of whom make their home in these local communities, and their steady income helps to support their large extended families. "We have made a conscious decision to operate smaller lodges with a lighter environmental footprint," explains Iain. "And, by operating with a high ratio of staff to guests we can maximise employment and training opportunities to play our part in uplifting the local communities." Connect With Us CLICK BOTTON RIGHT-HAND CORNER TO TURN SOUND ON The Word "Dulini" Dulini is the African name given to a termite mound that offers shelter to secretive creatures such as the aardvark. Many years ago, whilst exploring the rich riverine grove, the founders of the original site of Dulini Moya disturbed an aardvark resident to a nearby Dulini. Thus it became known as place of the antbear. More appropriately translated, Dulini is "a sanctuary or shelter" offering refuge to many wild creatures - from pangolins and warthogs, to pythons and aardvark. To us as the custodians of this special place, the name Dulini has evolved to mean place of sanctuary a sought-after hideaway. It is a place close to our hearts and we look forward to sharing it with you. Conservation Partnership The conservation of wildlife is achieved through the partnership between sustainable wildlife management, empowering local communities and the practice of ethical tourism. It is our endeavour to develop and deliver this partnership with excellence. Alongside creating unforgettable safari memories for guests, Dulini is a firm believer in supporting regional conservation efforts and fostering community upliftment. What Dulini Means To Us...
